About The Organizer:

As the nation commemorates Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, marking the 75 glorious years of India’s Independence, Vigyan Prasar, under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture, Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor (PSA) and 18 other Ministries of the Government of India, is holding a mega-event “Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate”(Science is revered everywhere)during the National Science Week (22-28 February 2022).


To engage the masses with the mission, Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate Essay Writing Competition invites innovative entries.

About The Competition: 

This is an Essay Writing Competition. The topic of the essay writing competition is ' VIGYAN SARVATRA PUJYATE ' ( Science Is Revered Everywhere) . This competition will enhance awareness amongst students about contribution of science for the betterment of the humanity.

Terms & Conditions: 

Participants can only participate in the contest by registering on the MyGov platform.

• Participants will have to write an essay in either English or Hindi only. 

• The size of the essay should be between 300-600 words.

• The entry must not contain any provocative, objectionable, or inappropriate content. 

• The participant must be the same person who has written the essay and plagiarism would not be accepted.You must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of the content submitted and the same should not have been previously published in any print and digital media. 

• Please note that the Essay must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957. Anyone found infringing on others’ copyright would be disqualified from the Competition.

• Participants can upload their entries in doc, docx, jpg, jpeg, pdf (Maximum file upload limit- 10MB).

• The entries will be open during the period 01 February 2022 – 17 February 2022. No entries will be accepted after this date.

• All the participants will receive a participation certificate for their entries.

• The top 5 entries selected by committee will receive attractive prizes. 

• Selection criteria: Creative, innovative, influential, and relevant to the contest theme.

• Organizers take no responsibility for corrupted or late entry.

• Organizer reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the Competition and/ or the Terms & Conditions/Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria.

• The winning entries would become the intellectual property of Vigyan Prasar and the winner shall not exercise any right over it. The organizers will have unfettered right to modify the prize-winning entry and may use them for promotional purposes, Information, Education and Communication materials, and also for any other use as may be deemed appropriate. 

•The participant should make sure that his/her MyGov profile is accurate and updated since the organizers would be using this for further communication. This includes details such as name, photo, complete postal address, email ID and phone number. Entries with incomplete profiles would not be considered. 

•Each of the winners will be notified through email address that they provide along with their submission.
