Nehru Science Centre Mumbai & Rotary Club of Bombay Queen City, Rotary Club of Bombay Pier are organizing National Annual Science Online Quiz Contest.
About The Competition:
This is an quiz contest which has various levels.
•Elimination Round (Level 1): All the registered participants will appear for an online Written Test on 8th February 2022 from 10 am to 10 pm with approximately 75 questions in MCQ format. The top 10% or max. 90 students will qualify from this online written test for Level II.
• Level II : The round will conducted online on 10th February 2022 for selected students from Level I. 40 Questions in MCQ format will be asked through PPT on Zoom Platform from 4.30 pm to 5.00 pm. The top 32 students will be selected for Quarterfinals.
• Quarter Final: The round will be conducted online on 12th February 2022 for selected students. The round will be conducted on Zoom using PPT from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. The top 8 students will be selected for the Semi-Finals.
• Semi-Final: Selected students will compete through Zoom meet scheduled on 16th February 2022 from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon. 2 groups will be made comprising of 4 students each.
• Final Round: 2 top students from each group will compete in the final Round through the Zoom meeting scheduled for 28th February 2022 from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon (National Science Day).
• Questions will be based on secondary school curricula of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics as well as on logical reasoning, scientific aptitude, awareness on current issues in science & technology, etc.
• The quiz will be played in different rounds such as a buzzer, rapid-fire, visuals, etc. The time, points allotted & order of asking questions may be different for different rounds.
• The oral rounds on the zoom platform will be held according to draw decided by Nehru Science Centre.
• In case of a tie, a new set of questions will be asked to give equal opportunity to each contestant, until the tie breaks.
• All the participants eligible for each round are expected to remain available online at the time of the contest or on the zoom platform.
• Nehru Science Centre’s decision will be final and binding.
Rules & Regulations:
• The online contest will be held among Individual students affiliated to SSC/CBSE/ICSE/IB other in English in online format only .
• The contest will be conducted in English medium only.
• The different rounds organized are Elimination (Level I & II), Quarterfinal, Semifinal and Final.
• From the Level II round onwards the contest will be held online only on Zoom app .
Important Guidelines:
• Students are requested to install the zoom app and ensure uninterrupted internet service.
• The result of all the online written Quizzes will be announced on the website.
• Participants must present themselves on the zoom platform from Level-II onwards at least 15 minutes before the online contest starts, failing which they may lose their chance. The contestants must keep their videos ON.
• The rules and regulations of the Elimination Round Level-II, Quarter, Semi-Final & Final round will be shared during the time of the online contest.

Free of cost participation.
