IIT Gandhinagar Invite you to Seminar Series on Indian Scientists

IITGN is pleased to invite you to the second edition of its Seminar Series on Indian Scientists on November 21, 3-5 pm. The seminar will be conducted online and will outline the lives and works of two great Indian scientists - Harish-Chandra and C V Raman. The first session titled ‘Harish-Chandra: The Mathematician and the Artist’ will be delivered by Prof C S Aravinda, Associate Professor, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) Centre for Applicable Mathematics, Bengaluru. The second session is based on ‘The life, works and legacy of Prof C V Raman’ and will be delivered by Prof Rupak Banerjee, Assistant Professor, IIT Gandhinagar. Both the talks will cover a few technical aspects as well as deal with the historical and social contexts so as to appeal to faculty and students across a wide range of disciplines.
