Free participation in Elocution Competition of World Space Week by ISRO

Competition Name: Elocution Competition World Space Week Competition 2020

Theme: 

Space Technology is a broad theme. The topic/theme for the elocution competition will be announced on the competition day as mentioned in the below table. Elocution which is not inline with the topic/theme will be rejected.

Where and how is World Space Week celebrated?

World Space Week consists of space education and outreach events held by space agencies, aerospace companies, schools, planetaria, museums, and astronomy clubs around the world in a common timeframe. World Space Week is coordinated by the United Nations with the support of the World Space Week Association (WSWA). The WSWA leads a global team of National Coordinators, who promote the celebration of World Space Week within their own countries.

SDSC SHAR will be celebrating the World Space Week (WSW) 2020 via Online platform from 4th to 10th October 2020 across 4 states - Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. The celebrations will be commencing with an inauguration at Sriharikota.

Eligibility:

• 8 to 12 Satndard
• This competition will be organized in the 4 zones and that zone is divided in the Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. So the students of the Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Telangana are eligible to participate.

Prizes:

• Three students from each category will be declared as winners in each State.
• Consolation Prizes will be awarded for each category and Statewise.
• Participation Certificates will be given to all the entries of the competition.

How to participate in this event?

• The event is an online competition. The registered participants will be divided into groups and will be given 3 minutes to talk on the topic. The topic will be announced 30 minutes before the event starts.
• To participate in this competition first you have to choose in which competition you want to participate, then by clicking here go to that competition page where you will get the link to register for that competition
• A valid gmail ID is mandatory for participating in the event
• Only students studying in the Classes 8th to 12th can participate.
• Interested participants shall register for the competition on or before 06.10.2020, 05:30PM.
• The medium of elocution can be English / Hindi / Tamil / Telugu.
• The number of participants in each language category is limited to 50(first come first serve basis).
• The participant has to appear in video conferencing mode(Go to meeting)
